LIST: Where to watch fireworks and drone shows in Utah for July 4th (2024)

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — As the Fourth of July holiday is coming up, you may be wondering where you can go to celebrate. Here’s a list of some spots around the state that are having fireworks shows, drone shows, and more for the whole family to enjoy.

Cache County:

Logan: On Wednesday, July 3, there will be a firework show at Willow Park in Logan at 10 p.m.

Box Elder County:

Brigham City: There will be a Fourth of July celebration at Rees Pioneer Park with a range of activities, including a horseshoe tournament, dunk-a-cop, and live music. Fireworks will start at dusk.

Davis County:

Clearfield City: Clearfield City will be having a Freedom Festival on Thursday, July 4, starting at 6 p.m. This event will have treats, vendors and end with fireworks around 10 p.m.

Kaysville: On July 4, Kaysville will have a 5K and 10K fun run, breakfast, parade, music, and food trucks to celebrate the holiday. To finish out the night, there will be a fireworks show at 10 p.m.

On July 3, Kaysville will have movies in the park, as well as food trucks.

Layton: On July 4, Layton will host Liberty Days, filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy. Activities include breakfast at Ed Kenley Amphitheater, a Fun Run, a parade, and performances. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.

North Salt Lake: North Salt Lake will be hosting its Liberty Fest from Saturday, June 29 to Tuesday, July 2. The festivities will include volleyball, a bounce house, a car show, and more. West Bountiful City: West Bountiful City will be holding an Independence Day Carnival and Firework Show on July 3. Activities include a carnival, food trucks, and a concert with fireworks to kick off at 10 p.m.

Grand County:

Moab: On July 4 from 9 p.m. – 10 p.m., experience fireworks lighting up the Moab sky. Fireworks will launch from Lions Back at dusk and can be enjoyed from downtown Moab. Tune your radio to 97.1 FM for the full experience.

Iron County:

Brian Head: Enjoy a festive weekend at Brian Head Resort from July 4 – July 6, filled with live music, a hot dog eating contest, and a fireworks display on Independence Day, weather permitting. The event is $10 if tickets are pre-purchased online, and $15 the day of.

Cedar City: Cedar City’s Lions Club will be having an Independence Day celebration with a parade and festive activities. Fireworks will take place around 10 p.m. at the Cedar City airport.

Kane County:

Kanab: is gearing up for a big celebration on July 4, starting with cannons blasting off at 6 a.m., a Color Fun Run, and a parade. Throughout the day, people will be able to enjoy vendors, entertainment, and festivities. At night, fireworks will shoot off overhead at Jacob Hamblin Park.

Millard County:

Delta: On July 4, Delta will have a breakfast at City Park, parade and activities, such as vendors and free bounce houses. There will be a concert at the park in the evening and fireworks at Millard County Fair Grounds at 10 p.m.

Rich County:

Garden City: Garden City will be holding July 4 celebrations featuring a concert at Heritage Park with former American Idol contestant Chayce Beckham and fireworks at 10 p.m.

Salt Lake County:

Magna: Magna will be having celebrations on July 4. Activities include a flag-raising ceremony, a free breakfast, 5K, a parade, and vendors. Fireworks will begin at Magna Copper Park at dusk.

Millcreek: Millcreek will be having its second annual Independence Eve Big Air Show on Wednesday, July 3 from 6 – 10 p.m. at Millcreek Common. The show will include acrobatics, games, luchadors, and the Flying Ace All-Stars trampoline show. The event’s finale will be a 150-drone light show. Tickets can be purchased online on Millcreek Common’s website.

Murray: Murray will be having Murray Fun Days activities throughout July 4, including a 5K, parade, chalk art, entertainment, car show, food trucks, and more. There will be a concert in the evening with fireworks at 10 p.m.

Riverton: From June 27 – 29, Riverton will be putting on the Riverton Town Days Rodeo and from July 3-4, will host Riverton Town Days. It will feature a large array of events, such as a carnival, pickleball grand rally, live music, and a movie in the park. Thursday, July 4, they will end the night with a fireworks show.

Salt Lake City:

  • The Gateway will be hosting a celebration on July 4 at The Olympic Plaza at 6 p.m. The event will be free, featuring food from Gateway bars and eateries inside and outside at the event. There will also be live entertainment from two stages, such as Diamond Empire Band and a lineup of DJs. Other activities include karaoke, yard games, face painting, and photo opportunities. Vendors will also be selling crafts and treats. To close the evening, fireworks will start at 10:00 p.m.
  • At Jordan Park, there will be a drone show on Friday, July 5. Guests can start arriving at 8:00 p.m. to enjoy live music and food trucks. The drone show will start at 10:00 p.m. and last for around 20 minutes.
  • The Salt Lake Bees have a fireworks show on July 4 following the game of the Bees vs the Tacoma Rainiers. There is also an “All You Can Eat” Independence Day special, with tickets for the buffet going at $37 for adults, $28 for kids.

Sandy: Sandy City will be having a day filled with celebrations on July 4, including a 5K, police K9 show, music, food vendors, and a parade. The day will end with a fireworks sky concert. Visit Sandy City’s website for a full list of events.

Taylorsville: Taylorsville will be holding Taylorsville Dayzz on June 27, 28, 29. The three-day event will include a parade, concert, carnival rides, car show, and 5K. Friday and Saturday will have fireworks shows at 10 p.m.

West Jordan: From July 4-6, West Jordan will be holding its Western Stampede, complete with a rodeo, carnival parade, and vendors. July 4, fireworks will start following the rodeo at 10 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park.

Summit County:

Park City: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain will be having its free multi-day Forum Fest, starting on Wednesday, July 3, and going through Saturday, July 6. The event will be complete with live music, fireworks, and drone shows, as well as activities for the whole family and a selection of food and beverage options.

Doors open at 3 p.m. each day with music starting at 4 p.m. Evening entertainment begins at 10:20 p.m. July 3 and 4 will have fireworks displays and July 4, 5, and 6 will have drone shows.

Uintah County:

Vernal: Join Vernal for a roaring good time with their Dinosaurland Freedom Fest. The July 4 celebrations will start with a firecracker 5k and parade. Activities include waterslides, inflatables, vendors, and a beer garden. In the evening, there will be live music and fireworks at 10 p.m. at Ashley Community Park.

Utah County:

Eagle Mountain: At Cory Wride Memorial Park in Eagle Mountain, there will be food trucks, music, and fireworks. Activities start at 8 p.m.

Lehi: Thanksgiving Point will be hosting its Freedom Celebration on July 4. Admission to the event is free. Gates open at 4 p.m., with a variety of vendors to check out. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m.

Pleasant Grove: On July 4, at Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove, the city will be hosting its annual fireworks show. Fireworks will start around dusk.

Provo: On July 4, in Provo, Stadium of Fire will be having its annual firework show, featuring the Jonas Brothers and Zion’s Youth Symphony & Chorus. The event starts at 8 p.m., with a selection of tickets still available online.

Vineyard: On July 1, Vineyard will be celebrating the holiday at Vineyard Grove Park with food trucks, bounce houses, a splash pad, live music, and fireworks. The event starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m.

Washington County

Hurricane: Hurricane will be holding a Stars & Stripes Celebration at Sand Hollow Reservoir. Gates open at 6 p.m. for attendees to enjoy local food trucks before the show.

St. George: St. George will be having a Fourth of July celebration at the Greater Zion Stadium, featuring artists Ashley McBryde, Craig Morgan, and DJ Eric Rhodes. Doors open at 5 p.m. with fireworks starting at 10 p.m. Tickets are available online.

Weber County

Farr West: Farr West will be celebrating July 4 with a range of activities, such as a 5K walk/run, breakfast, parade, sawdust scramble and children’s races. The night will end with fireworks at 10 p.m.

Huntsville: Huntsville will be holding a Fourth of July celebration with a day full of festivities — including breakfast, a fun run, car show, parade, art show and music, and more. The day will finish off with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. at Huntsville Park.

North Ogden: As part of the North Ogden Cherry Days, North Ogden will be having “Red, White & Boom” Fireworks on the evening of July 4 at Bates Elementary.

Plain City: Plain City will be having a variety of fun activities to celebrate the Fourth of July. The day will start with a wake-up call, 5K/1K milk run, parade, bounce house & climbing wall, fish scramble, horseshoe tournament and dodgeball tournament. There will also be a ornament, chalk art contest and water fight. At the end of the night, there will be a fireworks display at 10 p.m. at Lee Olsen Park.

Riverdale: Riverdale City has tons of fun planned for the holiday, starting with a cannon blast, sunrise services and “Stars and Stripes” 5K. There will be plenty of activities for families to enjoy, including a parade, car show, as well as booths and entertainment. There will be a free concert by Vocalocity at 8:45 p.m. with fireworks to begin at 10 p.m.
