Synopsis

Hmm, judging by that name and poster, this is clearly a COMPLETELY ORIGINAL film that is not stealing from ANY OTHER popular movie that came out recently. Nope. Doesn't remind me of anything else.
I was not expecting any quality from this film. I knew it would it be cheap, stupid, and not remotely creative or scary. What did surprise me was, despite this obviously trying to ripoff Five Nights at Freddy's, the story was actually nothing like that film, and instead was a ripoff of Hellraiser, with the necronomicon from Evil Dead thrown in as well. when watching Freddy's Fridays, there are several questions that one must ask:
•Who the fuck is Freddy?
•Why does Freddy own several Fridays?
•Why is this British?
•Who made it a police procedural?
•How desperate were they to cash in on the FNAF trend, when the film has very little in common with it.
•Why does the lead actress have a fringe?
•Who thought the back-to-back lines of: 'You don't need to understand it, just sound it out like a child would', 'Ooooh yeah, it really gets my motor running' and 'JUST READ IT YOU DIRTY FUCKING SLAG' were at all good ideas?And last, but not least:
•Why the fuck did I just waste 76.51 minutes of my life on this? -

Mockbusters is a genre I’ve written extensively about, and it continues to intrigue me. In short, mockubsters are flicks created to capitalize on the popularity of real films. They make money if enough people are fooled into renting them on VOD thinking it’s the real film. In the 90s, you could always find one of them on VHS in every home of a child that had grandparents who didn’t know the difference between a Disney’s Aladdin and some cheap knockoff.
